Not worth the money
My friend purchased this gift for me, I dicided on a nights hotel stay (coastal break) and although she payed £99 for the voucher the hotelier relcieves only around 50% of that, that combined with most hotels insisting on a two night minimum stay over a weekend means your either forking out for an additional nights stay or booking time off work. In addition when looking at the available hotel's independent website's most are cheaper that £99 for a nights stay anyway. I understand the third party want to make something out of it but don't think it represents good value for money, they receive a substantial chunk for basically printing a voucher and a bit of communication. It's an over complicated, expensive way to book something you would be better off booking direct. That aside the hotel was nice and concienintly located.
When did your experience take place? November
What was the name of the venue where your experience took place? Abbey field hotel Torquay

Response from Activity Superstore
Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. When purchasing through a third party company such as ourselves, there are extra costs to consider in providing the vouchers that may mean the costing's are different to when simply booking direct. We offer 35 locations for this experience and each venue has a unique pricing structure. The direct prices vary whereas we offer one fixed rate for a 12 month period. We always try to ensure that the direct pricing is in line or as close to the value of the voucher but during the potential 18 month voucher validity direct prices can fluctuate. We do also advise that there are certain restrictions that do apply for some of the locations for example booking two nights over a weekend. I have passed your feedback on to the relevant departments and we will use this to develop our products and services in the future.
